Another reason for buying property in Malaysia is potential capital appreciation of your property in Malaysia against major currencies. Malaysia Ringgit has gained strength since late 2006, e.g. less Malaysia Ringgit for each unit of foreign currency. See currency charts below:

Who should consider the bungalow?

Besides having excellent value(less than RM 300k for land area of 6k++ sf), the bungalow has potential for further appreciation in value. The main reason is Putrajaya/Cyberjava. The expansion of these areas will push up prices of surrounding areas, e.g. Nilai, Seremban, Senawang

Who should consider the bungalow?

  • Retirees and semi-retirees. Since most retirees have fixed income, value for money is very important. The bungalow has excellent potential for appreciation in value due to development in Putrajaya/Cyberjava. Owner of the bungalow is being compensated for holding the bungalow.

  • Technopreneurs. If the technopreneur is not required to meet clients regularly, then Senawang is a bargain due to lower cost of living. In addition, there is more than one Internet provider in Senawang : TM Net(Streamyx) and Digi(Mobile Broadband)

Bungalow design tip #2 - keep the bungalow cool by repelling heat, insulating against heat and dissipating heat

You may consider the following tactics in order to keep the bungalow cool with low maintenance cost:

  • Heat repelling. Example is painting roofs and external walls with light colors

  • Heat insulation. Examples are roof insulation, high ceiling act as heat buffer, clay bricks have higher mass which delay heat transmission, planting large trees to provide shade for the bungalow.

  • Heat dissipation. Examples are keeping the bungalow ventilated by opening windows and keeping surrounding areas clear, planting large trees around the bungalow to help reduce the heat island effect

Single storey bungalow on spacious land, south of Kuala Lumpur

As of October 2010, this bungalow is not for sale.

Want to build your own bungalow but afraid it is too much hassle? Want to have a big place but not willing to fork out a few million ringgit? Then I have an offer for the lucky one : a single storey bungalow on a piece of land six times larger than the bungalow. The bungalow has only basic structures so that you can renovate it to suit your taste. What is even better is it's price tag. For an investment of less than MYR 400k/USD 130k, you can own a bungalow on land area of 6400 square feet. Wait, there is more! The bungalow is strategically located at Senawang, Negri Sembilan, which is south of Kuala Lumpur. If you use North-South highway, driving time will be around an hour. There you have it : a dream home in a quiet area where Kuala Lumpur is accessible on a bargain price. What are you waiting for? Contact me at malaysiabungalow-at-gmail-dot-com today!
